Laredo ISD welcomed its newest educators during the New Teachers Academy on Tuesday morning at the Vidal M. Trevino School of Communications and Fine Arts. The morning began with greetings from Superintendent Dr. Sylvia Ríos. The new teachers are spending the week learning about LISD’s policies, procedures, instructional technology, and much more.

Over 10 weeks, dedicated LISD students read 37,784 nonfiction articles, showcasing their passion for learning. Special shoutout to Farias Elementary, a National Blue Ribbon School, for leading the way with exceptional participation and earning the title of the top schools in the competition throughout the region!
