Francisco Farias Elementary School

🚀 What an incredible, busy week of learning! From hands-on classroom lessons and tutorials to exciting after-school programs like Esports, our students are staying engaged and building new skills every day. Don't miss out on the action—join the learning experience by staying consistent with daily attendance and participating in our after-school programs! 🎮📚

📊🍫 Sweet success in math class! This week, our 4th grade classes transformed standard Hershey's chocolate bars into interactive fraction tools! Because each bar naturally splits into 12 equal sections, students were able to visually model: Parts of a whole (1/12, 3/12, 6/12)Equivalent fractions (6/12 = 1/2, 4/12 = 1/3)Adding & subtracting fractions with common denominators. ✏️

📚 Extra support for extra success! 💡Help your student shine this semester with our After-School Tutorials! Whether they need help with homework, test prep, or reinforcing key skills in math, reading, or science, our teachers are here to help them succeed. Spaces are open—reach out to your child's teacher or the front office to sign up today! ✏️✨

⚡️ Sparking curiosity in 5th grade! 💡Our 5th graders stepped into the shoes of electrical engineers today to investigate how circuits work! From building simple complete circuits to testing conductors and insulators, students had a blast lighting up bulbs and making real-world connections. Seeing those lightbulb moments—literally and figuratively—never gets old! 🔌✨
